Shelpful User Portal Login Troubleshooting Guide

If you are experiencing issues logging into the Shelpful User Portal, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot common problems. If the issue persists, contact our support team for further assistance.

Common Issues and Solutions

1. Use Same Device and Same Browser

Issue: You are using a different browser or device than the one used to request the magic link. Solution:

  • Use the same device from which you requested the magic link. (if you requested the link on your phone, you need to click the link from your phone.)

  • Use the same browser - make sure that your device is opening up the same browser (chrome, safari, etc). To be extra-certain, you could copy the link and paste it into the same browser, on the same device.

  • If using a different device, copy and paste the link into the other device.

  • To copy the link, right click on the link and select Copy Link Address

2. Magic Link Not Received

Issue: You requested a magic link but did not receive the email. Solution:

  • Check your spam or junk folder.

  • Ensure you are using the same email address registered with Shelpful.

  • Verify that your email address is correctly entered in the user portal.

3. Link Expired

Issue: The link you received has expired. Solution:

  • Request a new magic link through the user portal.

  • Ensure you use the new link within a few minutes of receiving it.

4. Link Already Clicked

Issue: The link has already been clicked and cannot be used again. Solution:

  • Request a new magic link.

  • Use the link immediately after receiving it.

5. Missing Code Error

Issue: Error message indicating a missing code. Solution:

  • Ensure you are using the same browser and device from which you requested the magic link.

  • Copy and paste the entire link, including the code at the end, into the browser.

6. Link Prefetching by Email Clients

Issue: Some email clients may prefetch the link, causing it to be invalid. Solution:

  • Try opening the email on a different device or forwarding to a different email service, and copy and paste the link from there.

7. General Browser Issues

Issue: The magic link does not work on your phone. Solution:

  • Try the whole process (from requesting the link… to clicking the link) on a PC or another device.

  • Ensure your browser is up-to-date and cookies are enabled.

Additional Tips

  • Make sure your browser allows cookies and JavaScript.

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies before trying again.

  • Try using an incognito or private browsing mode.
