What’s a Shortcut?
What’s an Automation?
The Shortcuts app lets you automate little things by selecting a trigger, and setting up an action (the actions are called shortcuts). Below, I have SHORTCUTS I made for you to download, and you’ll need to make them into Automations. Apple doesn’t let me link to built-for-you Automations.
If this feels confusing ;), maybe check out my 90-min workshop. I promise it’s easy once you learn the lingo and get hands-on. Everyone leaves the workshop with at least 2 automations built!
Get started
Step 1: Get the Shortcuts app
Apple’s Shortcuts app is 100% free and is the most under-marketed iPhone feature of all time.
Step 2: Get the Shelpful app
Shelpful has an integration with Apple’s Shortcuts app 🤩. Adding Shelpful to your shortcuts… sprinkles some magic into any automation … because it actually talks back and follows up with you.
Your automations go farther when you have an AI buddy circling back on stuff.
Step 3: Install one of the made-for-you shortcuts below 👇
I built some sample automations to give you a taste of how it works! If you want to realllllly dig in, I also have an Automate Your Life 101 workshop you can watch — currently $29.99 $68.
Made-For-You SHORTCUTS
Tap the button from your iPhone browser to install it.
If you want to make it an Automation:
Go to Automations tab >> pick a trigger >> add the shortcut

The “little” things are HARD for ADHD minds
my iPhone is such a happy place for me right now. Everyday, small stuff feels lighter because of 2 factors:
I have a shelpful AI buddy (i named him task daddy) that nudges me to show up for the bare minimum. Wash one dish, take 3 steps outside. Open the damn browser and that’s it. It’s like a to-do list that talks back, like a 24/7 habit coach.
I’ve honed the free iPhone app from Apple: Shortcuts so that things JUST HAPPEN on my phone. Apps open, playlists start, doors lock, reminders are set. Just by me moving through the world.
These 2 things together are like and AI-Automation Peanut Butter & Jelly Sando. Like:
When I pull into this parking lot, the app opens that I need, it starts a playlist, it pings my AI buddy that I just picked up my kid and to send me ideas for dinner.
When I tapped the sticker on my dog food, it would text my husband so my dog didn’t get fed twice.
