Shelpful App FAQs
Your Questions, Answered.
-
You can add tasks or habits right from your chat with your AI buddy.
Just type what you want to add (“remind me to take vitamins every morning” or “pay rent tomorrow”), and it’ll appear in your List tab automatically.
You can also tap the NEW button in your List tab to add an item manually.
-
For now, your AI buddy can’t edit times/tasks from the chat yet (coming soon!). For now, here’s the quick fix you can do in the interim from your List tab
Tap directly on a task to edit the text directly or to edit the recurrence (daily, weekly, etc).
Tap the blue date pill on the right to change the specific time or day.
You can drag and drop list items to reorder them any way you like.
-
In your List tab, scroll to the bottom to find ‘All completed tasks’.
You can click that to view completed items. We’ll be adding more visibility and management tools for this soon, too (like “undo” for completed tasks).
-
You can pause all reminders anytime:
→ Go to your You tab → Notifications / Pause → Toggle Pause On or Off.
Don’t forget to turn them back on when you’re ready to jump back in!
-
Head to your You 😊 tab → Notifications/Pause for tips to make sure your app notifications are turned on in your phone’s Settings and permissions for Shelpful are allowed.
-
In the You 😊 tab → AI Buddy Preferences, you can personalize your AI buddy’s style and tone — whether you want it to be more gentle, funny, use emoji’s or not, bring the tough-love or talk to you like a pirate. You can also adjust your reminder preferences e.g. “If I tell you I’m tired, please ask me if I need a snack or some fresh air”. This tab gives lots of examples for custom instructions to play around with if you need some inspiration!
-
Completed items move to the top of your Recently completed list view. You can scroll down to view them there. For now, if you accidentally mark something as complete just ask your AI buddy to add it again or manually add it in your List tab. We are working on an “undo” option — we know this one’s high on the wishlist!
-
For now, you can manually reorder tasks by long-pressing on a list item and moving it to where you’d prefer it. Sorting, grouping, and multiple list headers are all in the works — stay tuned!
