We started Shelpful because we felt there wasn’t enough support out there. HabitGPT can be helpful, but sometimes a strategy session is in order to get things figured out, then it will be WAY more helpful. We were trained by Stanford Behavioral Scientist & NYT Best Selling Author, Dr. BJ Fogg and his team and have each helped hundreds of people strategize habits that work.
This call is an action-oriented call — for YOU.
Come with ideas for habits / routines that you aren’t feeling 💯 about. You’ll leave the call with a plan that we can put back into HabitGPT.
We do these coaching calls ourselves because we want to personally help you out in any way we can.

How can I maximize the benefits of using HabitGPT? To truly make the most out of HabitGPT, be sure to actively engage with it! Update it on your habits and tasks regularly, respond honestly to check-ins, and share your progress. The more you interact, the better HabitGPT can understand and support you on your journey. Also, consider starting small! If you are having trouble staying on top of the DREAM routine, maybe consider starting with just one small thing!
How do I use HabitGPT for my to-do list? This is one of our fave features. For some reason it just makes to-do-listing more enjoyable.
When you have a task you need to get done, tell HabitGPT in plain English (e.g., “I need to call the dentist,” “to do: need to book flights to cali,” “task to do - clean out sink”)
HabitGPT will respond with a fresh to-do list for you to review.
You can add more things “e.g. add to dos: clean fish tank, call mom, respond to 10 emails” and it’ll update it your list.
You can reply to let it know you finished things, and it’ll check them off (e.g., “called the dentist and mom” or “finished tasks 1 and 2”
You can also ask HabitGPT to share your latest to-do list.
Can I add new habits or tasks to HabitGPT after signing up? Absolutely! As you evolve and grow, you can easily add new habits or tasks to your HabitGPT chat. Just type “/human” into your chat, and share what changes you’d like. The humans will help ensure your plan is updated with HabitGPT.
How can I change the frequency of reminders from HabitGPT? If the reminders are overwhelming or not frequent enough, no worries! Just type “/human” into your chat, and share what changes you’d like. The humans will help ensure your plan is updated with HabitGPT.
Can I pause or temporarily disable HabitGPT? Sure thing! Just tell HabitGPT “i want to pause until ____{time/date}___ and it’ll ping you then. You’ll need to say “Continue” to resume.
How can I receive additional guidance or support beyond the chat service? As an active member, you have access to one-on-one habit coaching sessions with real-human habit coaches. Why we made HabitGPT
I was breaking, even though I was surrounded by support
In 2021, we made a thing that people instantly loved. We pair folks with a real-human accountability buddy, a Shelper (super+helper) to stay on top of any routine or task list. Shelpers get to know you, strategize on workarounds when you’re having an off day, and they ultimately help you get more done, and feel less alone in doing so.
Since day one, we’ve used tech to help our Shelpers do their “shelping” more efficiently and smoothly. And this year, we were about to do some testing on A.I.-powered tools to help our Shelpers’ productivity, note taking, planning.
But ….. my life events flipped our product roadmap.
On April 12th, I had a Stroke in the small blood vessels of my eye (an Eye Stroke — yea, i hadn’t heard of that either). Not only did I permanently lose some of my vision…. but all of the sudden I went from:
Taking one pill daily ➡️ 6 pills daily
Rare doctor visits ➡️ multiple appointments per week
Googling life hacks ➡️ googling rare diseases
Generally eating healthy-ish ➡️ following a specific meal plan.
…. All while running a startup and being mom with ADHD
I was breaking 💔. I used to have a Shelper, but gave up my spot so we could grow (yay, startup growth… but HALP!)
So my co-founder, Chris, flipped the back-end tool he was tinkering with to a front end tool (which he initially called “Sharon’s ShelperGPT”), which I could use immediately to stay on top of ALL MY pills, to-dos, habits, meal prep, etc.
Annnnnnd it was pretty great. It really helped me stay on top of my medication and new health stuff. We decided that before we explore how A.I. tech elements can augment REAL-human Shelper chats, we wanted to let some folks try it “a la carte” too.
After you try it out, maybe the A.I. buddy will be exactly what you need to boost your productivity. OR maybe, you’ll want the Real-Human hype person, with the A.I. Superpowers. (👈 this is our hunch)
